Heidi Morstang works with contemporary photography and experimental documentary film. Her work explores the significance of landscape and environmental change. Most of her works are created in the Nordic Arctic region, often in inter-disciplinary dialogue with scientists and various other academic disciplines.
Her films have been screened at several international film festivals and her photographic works have been exhibited widely since 1995, most recently in the touring exhibition Seedscapes – Future-Proofing Nature at Impressions Gallery, Bradford, Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, and Dick Institute, Kilmarnock; Bergen International Film Festival, Norway; Heidelberg Laureate Forum, Germany; Royal Norwegian Embassy, London; Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Santander y Cantabria, Spain; and The Science Museum, London. Her work is represented in several private and public collections. She is Associate Professor in Photography at University of Plymouth, UK.
