Luke Massey is a wildlife photographer and cameraman turned agriwilder. With a stack of accolades to his name, from winner of the Wildscreen Emerging Talent Photo Story Panda Award in 2018 to being a part of Chris Packham’s Green Ribbon Award winning team in 2015, and appearances in Wildlife Photographer of the Year in between, Luke has now taken a step back from global storytelling to focus on his home project – Wild Finca.
Managing ten hectares of pastureland, wildflower meadows, scrub, woodland and ancient orchard for nature and his family’s self-sufficiency, Luke is learning that this sort of existence is a full-time job. However he is still documenting his new journey in a monthly episode of slow-TV called ‘Notes from Wild Finca’. Luke has many ideas for the future but ultimately his project is to create a haven for nature, a home for his family and to inspire people to care for and enjoy nature. Luke has just received an Emergence Foundation grant that will go towards the creation of a nature trail, and he hopes to welcome people soon to explore Wild Finca. Luke is presenting with his partner Katie Stacey.
