Sir John Lister-Kaye OBE: Founder of the Aigas Field Centre near Inverness, Sir John is a naturalist, author and conservationist with a profound love for the Scottish Highlands, his home since 1969. His books include The Dun Cow Rib: A Very Natural Childhood and Gods of the Morning: A Bird’s Eye View of a Highland Year. In 2007, Aigas began a beaver reintroduction project to demonstrate the species’ potential for rewilding, and it is part of the captive-breeding programme for Scottish wildcats.
