Ursula Juta was born in Durban, South Africa and lived in a small town surrounded by sandy beaches one side, and a wide variety of habitats ranging from alpine, to grassland to jungle as one ventures inland. Ursula developed a passion for nature from day one. Some of her first words were “broke froggy” upon finding a squashed frog.
Ursula and family moved to the UK in 1997 where her passion for wildlife continued. Ursula studied Ecology at the UEA and worked in various roles until she landed her dream job with Norfolk Rivers Trust. Ursula is a senior project officer and works on a wide range of river restoration and species conservation projects, in particular with white clawed crayfish, beavers and burbot.
